Legalities of casino in India:-

In India casinos have been legalized and work as per the provisions laid down under the public gambling act, 1867. It was later after the goa and daman & Diu public gambling act,1976 slot machines were introduced in our casinos.

The casinos in India are either in five star hotel properties or offshore or we can say in the ocean or sea not in the land area of Indian boundaries. 

In the state of Sikkim gambling was not legalized earlier and after the amendment made in Sikkim public gambling act in the year 2005 some of the specific areas of this state have got the authority to run the casino. 

Currently in our country we have 2 casinos in the state of sikkim and 10 in the state of goa. 

In India casinos are under the purview of a game of luck not as gambling or game of skill.
